The trailer had neither insulation nor a ceiling. First order of business: strip it down to the frame on the inside.

I stripped out everything down to the steel frame on the inside of the trailer. Then I used a foil-backed foam board insulation from Home Depot to line the sides.

You can see the silver color of the foil in the curved sections at the top in this pic:

The insulation is in and we re-used the original plywood panels.

I took no pictures of the insulation process. I was focused on getting this job going. I cut the foam board with a razor jigsaw blade from Bosch. It worked great.

The ceiling is lined with the foam board and covered with what Home Depot calls "utility plywood". It was flexible enough to bend to fit the ceiling, light enough to help keep overall weight down, and the cheapest thing they had. I bought it.

The unistrut in the middle of the ceiling is bolted through the roof to another piece directly above. These two pieces of strut form a clamp. Two more parallel runs left and right form the framework for the solar panels on top. These had not been installed at this point, but would be next.
